The other side of the playroom...

The playroom is pretty much boring hodge podge but I thought I would show you this wall because I am a sucker for Craigslist deals. I got the couch off Craigslist for $20.00. I bought it from a owner but I think it might have come from a waiting room. It is a solid wood frame and the cushions do not come off. Durable and cheap is always good with 7 kidddos.

Jackets, backpacks, shoes and whatnots can take over pretty fast around here. I got these lockers off freecycle to make do with that mess for now. They were in rough shape but I just painted them with a special paint for metal items. If you don't all ready know, freecycle is a email group where people give items away instead of throwing them away. The oldest 5 use these and I have cubbies in the entryway closet for the rest of the kids.

A couple of vintage toys on top. I let them play with them but I don't let them lay in the toy box we have in here too. We also have a tv area, baby doll area and train table set up in here. It's not the most beautiful room in the house but it's nice to be able to keep most of the stuff confined to one area.

In other exciting but bittersweet news...baby #7 is doing very well on mr frog potty. I have been changing diapers since 1995 non stop so that will be weird. Have a great day!

I love your vintage cash register. My mother had the same one and we used to play with it at my grandparents. Makes me wonder what ever happened to it? I love seeing how others have displayed/decorated their homes with vintage items. Happy Saturday!
