A corner of the playroom

Here is my 2 youngest still in jammies playing in the kitchen corner of the playroom. It was actually a formal living room but with 7 kids there is nothing formal in this house. My love for vintage and good deals has spilled over into the playroom though.

I bought this 1950-1960's era play fridge, stove and ironing board off craigslist for $15.00.(for all three!) We had to do some small fixes on hinges but all is original. There are some dings and it is not in perfect condition (it's made of metal) but my kids can play with it and it is adorable!

Here's the inside of the fridge. So cute with the vintage items pictured on the inside of the door.

There is another little wooden kitchenette I got a garage sale that has a sink area. I found some small vintage table cloths at a garage sale and they have 3 or 4 folded down there at the bottom they can switch around on there table and chair set. That Fisher Price "tv" that plays music and moving pictures I found at the thrift store for $1.68 and is the original one for the 1960's! They have the reproductions at Target now for like $30.00.

Here, Merritt ,my 5 year old has set her table with Melissa and Doug cake items she got for Christmas for her dolls. The table and chairs and solid wood highchair I got at garage sales for $10.00 total! Believe it or not this is just one corner of their playroom, I am sure I will show you the rest soon!
